Metal ring gaskets are made by forging, heat treatment, and mechanical processing. They are a type of metal sealing gasket used in oil and gas pipe flanges, pressure vessels, high-speed joint surfaces, high-temperature and high-pressure valve covers, etc. Especially in situations where pressure and temperature fluctuate, they can still maintain good sealing performance.
The commonly used R-type is divided into elliptical or octagonal shapes according to the cross-section, and the standard R-type annular gasket is manufactured according to API 6A and ASME B16.20 standard dimensions, with a maximum operating pressure of 10000 PSI. The octagonal gasket and elliptical gasket can be interchanged in the trapezoidal groove flange. RX type is suitable for pressure enhanced standard R-type annular gaskets, and is suitable for flange groove sealing surfaces similar to R-type. BX type is suitable for pressure enhancement and designed for applications up to 15000PSI pressure systems.
