The main structural forms of metal ring gaskets are:
R-type oval gasket standard oval metal ring gasket is applied to flanges with standard grooves.
R-shaped octagonal gasket standard octagonal metal ring gasket is applied to flanges with standard grooves.
The RX type octagonal gasket can withstand a pressure of up to 700 bar. When in use, the outer sealing surface is first in contact with the flange, and high system pressure will generate high base stress. RX type metal ring gasket can be interchanged with standard R-type ring gasket.
The BX type octagonal gasket can withstand a pressure of up to 1500 bar. The BX type gasket is self sealed and controlled by the internal system pressure generated by the gasket base pressure on the enhanced flange contact surface. BX type octagonal gasket is suitable for API BX flanges and mortise and tenon flanges.
