How to solve the problem of oval gasket leakage?

The key to solving the leakage of oval gaskets lies in ensuring the integrity of the sealing surface and the effective operation of the gasket.

Firstly, it is necessary to identify the leakage point and carry out targeted repairs. For the leakage of the oval gasket at the flange connection, a pressure detection tool such as a water tank pressure gauge can be used to confirm the location and degree of the leakage. If pits or discontinuous points are found on the sealing surface, the defect size needs to be measured and surface repair or gasket replacement should be carried out.

When repairing, prioritize cleaning the flange surface, removing oil stains and impurities, and then choose to replace the new oval gasket or apply special sealant (such as polymer composite material) according to the leakage situation to enhance the sealing performance; When installing new gaskets, pay attention to evenly pre tightening the bolts to avoid secondary leakage caused by asymmetric stress.

Finally, strengthening preventive measures includes controlling the fluctuation range of working temperature, avoiding thermal stress caused by frequent driving and parking, and regularly checking the status of gaskets to extend their service life.
